About CBPS Research Fellowship 2024-25:
The CBPS Research Fellowship is a one-year program offered by the Centre for Budget and Policy Studies (CBPS), an independent public policy research institution based in Bangalore, India. The Fellowship aims to help scholars develop research skills in the areas of Education, Gender, Governance, Health & Nutrition, Public Finance, Livelihoods and Social Security. Application Deadline is April 15, 2024 (before 11:59 p.m.).
Eligibility for CBPS Research Fellowship 2024-25:
- The fellowship primarily targets scholars who have recently completed their Bachelor’s degree or are in the final year of their undergraduate program.
- CBPS encourages applications from scholars belonging to historically underrepresented groups, including those based on class, caste, gender, religion, linguistic affiliation, and first-generation scholars.
Duration of CBPS Research Fellowship 2024-25:
One year, starting from July 1, 2024, until June 30, 2025.
CBPS Research Fellowship Stipend:
Fellows will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 25,000/-. Fellows will have access to office spaces, internet, and the library.
Location:
Fellows will work at the CBPS office in Bangalore, where they will engage with research staff, attend talks, seminars, and participate in ongoing research projects.

- A Statement of Purpose (SoP) describing why the candidate is interested in research in
the areas listed above (not more than 1500 words) - A curriculum vitae or resume (in MS Word format)
- Two letters of reference
