Post Name: Solar DC Design Engineer
Objective: As a Design Engineer (Electrical – DC), the person shall be capable of preparing, reviewing & executing Engineering Activities for Solar Power Plants as per the direction of Design Lead (Electrical – DC ). He must have good knowledge in DC SLD, over all Layout in Solar PV Power Plants. He shall facilitate the modellers in development of BIM 3D Model for Substations.
Key Responsibilities: • Timely review of the drawings developed by the draftsman • Coordinate with inter-disciplinary areas, inter-departmental checks (Civil & Structural, MEP & Instrumentation) for obtaining concurrence in design specifications • Ensure compliance to specification requirements • Review of drawings and Documentation conforming to Quality systems and Check List • Review of Vendor Offers and Documents • Pre-Tender Engineering including estimation of BOM (Bill of Materials) and Offer Reviews • Prepare design calculations for Solar PV Power Plants (Solar Module Selection, Cable Sizing, Inverter Sizing, JB / SMB, Earthing Conductor) • Reviewing of Bill of Material and comparing with the Tender Quantity .
Technical Expertise: Technical knowledge on yield estimation, performance of plant, Solar modules & inverters, Sting monitoring Box, solar system sizing, battery sizing, earthing & lightning protection of solar field, Knowledge of layouts & schemes/SLD. In addition, the Design Engineer (Electrical AC) should also have an overall understanding of the inter-disciplinary (Civil & Structural, Mechanical and Instrumentation) design aspects of electrical equipment.
Operating Network Internally: PEM, Design Lead, Inter-disciplinary Engineers (Civil & Structural, MEP & Instrumentation), Draughts Person Externally: Client (Site Execution, Engineering team), Vendors (Engineering Team)
