About Police Constable Recruitment in Punjab:
The Punjab Police announced 1,746 constable vacancies in 2024 for both the District and Armed Cadre. The application process began on March 14, 2024 and will close on April 4, 2024. Punjab Police Constable Recruitment application forms can be submitted online using the recruitment portal. Recruited candidate(s) can be posted/deployed anywhere in Punjab, India or abroad.

Mandatory Qualification:
Candidates must have passed Matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi language specified by the Punjab Government, on or before January 1st, 2024.
Physical Standards for Punjab Police Constable:
Minimum Height required: Male– 5 feet 7 inches (170.2 cms) and Female- 5 feet 2 inches (157.5 cms)
Age Limit for Punjab Police Constable Recruitment:
Minimum age as on January 1st, 2024 – 18 years.
Maximum age as on January 1st, 2024 – 28 years.

Punjab Police Pay Scale:
As per the Punjab Government Notification No. FD-FP-10MISC/87/2020-2FP1 dated 29.12.2020 pay scale of the post Constable is Rs.19,900/- and minimum pay admissible of Rs. 19,900/- per month for three years from the date of joining in service.
