About Teach for India Fellowship:

Teach For India invites applications from India’s most promising and bright individuals for the Fellowship Round 2.The Teach For India Fellowship is a nationwide movement that aims to eliminate educational inequity by placing young leaders at grassroots levels to impact the most change. The goal of Teach For India is to provide excellent education and build a movement of leaders who will work in the service of India’s most underserved children. Fellows work towards academic excellence and thereafter continue to play a part at scale through various sectors and roles, including social entrepreneurship, teacher training, welfare delivery, curriculum development and CSR.

Qualification for Teach For India fellowship:

Graduate with a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree by June/July 2023, and this must be your first application to the 2023 cohort of the Teach For India Fellowship.

Teach for India Fellowship Duration:

The Teach For India Fellowship is a 2-year, full-time, paid commitment to teach in an under-resourced classroom in a government or low-income private school.

Location of Teach for India Fellowship:

Teach For India Fellows will be placed in low-income schools in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Pune.

Stipend for Teach for India Fellowship:

A salary of Rs. 20,412 per month. If required to relocate from their home city, Fellows will be given a housing allowance ranging from Rs. 5,300 to Rs. 10,000, depending on the city in which they will stay. In addition, Fellows will receive an allowance for school supplies.

Application Deadline for Teach for India Fellowship:

• The application deadline is 11:59 PM IST on the mentioned dates for each Round.
• Application Round 2: Sunday, 20th November 2022
• Application Round 3: Sunday, 29th January 2023
• Application Round 4: Sunday, 19th March 2023

Selection Process of Teach for India Fellowship:

STAGE I – THE APPLICATION FORM AND ONLINE TEST

After form submission you must complete a mandatory, 25-minute English language abilities online test. This must be completed within 72 hours after you submit the application form. Your application will be considered complete only after you submit the test.

STAGE II – THE PHONE INTERVIEW

After online test result you will be invited to attend a 30-minute phone interview.

STAGE III – THE ASSESSMENT CENTRE

At Assessment Centre you will participate in several activities, which may include teaching a 5-minute lesson, a group activity with other applicants, and a short problem solving activity. You may also be invited to an hour-long personal interview with a Teach For India community member.
